Alicia’s Story: Finding Relief from Knee Pain

Alicia Veasey – also known as the Yorkshire Forager and a familiar face alongside TV chef James Martin – has spent years managing the effects of osteoarthritis in her knees.

Having previously tried steroid injections and hyaluronic gel treatments, Alicia found they offered only temporary relief. Looking for a longer-lasting solution, she turned to Mr Paul Haslam at The Coriel Clinic — a consultant she has trusted for many years.

A New Approach to Treatment

Alicia underwent an Arthrosamid® injection — a treatment designed to cushion the joint and provide longer-term pain relief.

The procedure itself was carried out using ultrasound guidance to ensure precise placement. Despite her initial nerves, Alicia was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the treatment felt.

“I honestly felt no pain during the injection,” she recalls. “It was all very smooth and straightforward.”

Looking Ahead

Following the treatment, Alicia was advised to keep her knee moving to help distribute the gel effectively. While some discomfort is expected once the anaesthetic wears off, she remained positive about the outcome.

A Positive Experience

Reflecting on her time at the clinic, Alicia couldn’t speak more highly of the care she received.

“The team here are absolutely brilliant — professional, friendly, and reassuring throughout,” she says. “You really feel like you’re in safe hands.”

With hopes of long-lasting relief and a return to a more active lifestyle, Alicia is optimistic about the future.

“If you’re struggling with knee pain,” she adds, “don’t wait — come and get it sorted.”
